Sharpened Iron

I was watching “King of Kong: Fistful of Quarters” the other day, and I came across a great line (borrowed from Proverbs 27:17):

Iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens another.

That line just ate me up. My mother is looking for ways to supplement income by writing on the Web. I’ve told her briefly of some opportunities, the most promising being learning or tutorials for life.

I’ve always firmly believed there’s a market for a how-to Web site tailored to “first-time out of the home” youngsters. College and post-highschool kids that need just a little help with how to separate laundry, make a $2.00 casserole, etc.

Of course, this offering could extend into how-to suggestions, other authors, or even heavier topics (such as adoption procedures, etc).

So, how does ‘sharpenediron.com’ sound to you?

If you haven’t been to Married to the sea then you’re really getting too much done (especially for a Friday).

We’re back – and we’re hitched!

Justine and I got hitched on August 4, 2007 in Blaine Washington and have just returned from our honeymoon in Los Cabos (Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo).

We’re well rested, tan, and happy to be calling each other “husband” and “wife.” Well, I’m happy to say “wife,” Justine has taken to calling me “hubband” because it’s funnier, and easier to say (also, she gets to sing “hubband, hubband, hubband a bag” whenever she wants).

Sean Flanigan and his wife (our photographers) did an amazing job shooting our wedding and reception and Sean has uploaded a few photos for your preview.

The honeymoon was fantastic, and we’ll have lots and lots of photos up soon. Until then, please enjoy this short sampling over at Flickr.
